In QNC's 48 Hour AFH Administrator Training, "The AFH Success Course", students get a real life intro to the AFH business.
Business Planning, Marketing, Financial Planning, Staffing, Resident Health Care, Food Services, Activities, Resident Rights, Specialty Care, Legal Issues, Facility Maintenance, Disaster Planning, Housekeeping and Record Keeping are all part of this training.
Instructor Jo Lyn Cornelsen RN, also has 8 years experience as an AFH Care Provider.

More Information: The 48 Hour AFH Administrator Training is a six day training. We complete two or more unit discussions each day, and the additional class time is used by students to complete assignments. The cost is $950 per student. Generally, trainings are held regularly on Thursdays and Fridays, from 1 pm to 8 pm, but classes may also be scheduled on other dates. Contact Jo Lyn for specifics. Students cycle through the training days, receiving their certificates when they have completed all unit sessions and assignments. Advance registration is required. Students receive the unique QNC Administrator Training Resource Book, filled to the max with additional forms, samples, and information to help them in their AFH businesses. Unit sessions are guided discussions with Power Point presentations. Students tour an Adult Family Home, viewing AFH business systems organization. Required assignment is to complete the business books/record systems needed to operate their own AFH business. Class location is Wisteria Gardens, 14101 NE 144th Street, PO Box 1498, Brush Prairie, WA 98606. BONUS #1: Graduates may contact Jo Lyn with future AFH business questions at no additional charge!
